When I first purchased the book, I really wanted to lose weight. While that's still a goal for me, I understand that having the energy to keep up with my two toddlers is more important. Starting a fitness program for me is easy. Sticking with it and having it become a lifestyle change is what can be challenging. The author offers quite a few suggestions on how to keep motivated throughout this healthy journey. I chose the ones that fit my personality. The nutrition part offered a history of the author's own lifestyle change and encouraged healthy eating by using the Harvard School of PUblic Health's Healthy Eating Pyramid. I like the emphasis on low fat protein items such as fish and poultry. The exercise part is just as well written as the other two parts. The author outlines all three phases of the Mom Looks Great program and have been able to determine where to start. I highly recommend this book to any woman who wants to lose weight after giving birth.
